It could be titled “Kingdom Conspiracy”, or by explanation, “How to Hinder the Gospel without Lifting a Finger”. The enemy believes he only has two ways to stop us – Kill us or keep us quiet.
Matthew 10:26-28 (New King James Version)
26 Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
How much of our lives have we kept quiet about our faith and whom we serve for fear of ridicule or confrontation? Sometimes we fear our best friends or family more than the stranger. Jesus sent the twelve disciples out on a road trip to preach the gospel. He sent them to their own house first, the “lost sheep of the house of Israel”. He then warned them that “a man’s enemies would be the members of his own house”. Frightening, huh? Enough to keep anybody quiet. Then there is the religious idea that I don’t want to stir up trouble so I’ll be quiet about who I really am and what I really believe. After all, we don’t want to “cast our pearls before swine” or disrupt the peace. Jesus said “I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Whoa! What happened to all that love stuff!
Right now our world is standing on the threshold of exposure! In every aspect of society all that has been hidden is now being brought to light and nothing is sacred or taboo. Tolerance is the new “love”. There are conspiracies and cover-ups on every hand. Government, science and false religion are now known bed partners. We are being threatened and intimidated and will soon have to take a very public stand on whom or what we believe and be ready to suffer for our decision.
So, what about Kalypto? It is the Greek word – to cover up, to hide, to hinder the knowledge of. It is akin to two other words; 1. Klepto- to steal, commit a theft. 2. Krypto- to hide, escape notice.
Satan thought he could steal what was God’s and hide who God Is and hinder the knowledge of Him. Jesus is Truth revealed and we are in Him. He has given us a direct order to expose this conspiracy! But how? Do you have the kind of relationship with Jesus of intimacy and worship even in the night? Are you so close that you can hear the whisper of His voice? You can be silent no longer! Come out into the daylight, and shout it from the roof tops! Proclaim the Word of the Lord! What’s that saying, “love out loud”? Come out of your closet and share the person of Truth in Love. Jesus said we were “a light that could not be hidden”. Hmmmm, think about that!
