How Are You Filling The Void?

Remember the previous invitation? A welcoming to the Inner Chamber to commune one on one with God. Yet, many do not think they can come to this place. Perhaps, they feel unworthy, unwanted or empty with nothing to bring with[@more@] them but failures. Sadly, there are many that do not come because they are busy and weighed down with other things. They have filled the void in their hearts with work, family and material things. Then there are those who will not meet God in this intimate place because they prefer to keep God in a back room until they are ready to show Him off. Thus, they have filled the void with “self”.

Now, you may ask – Void? What void? I don’t have a void! What is a void anyway? The word void can be used as an adjective, verb or a noun. It is define as : adj. 1, not legally binding: invalid; null. 2, having no contents; vacant 3, ineffectual. – v. 1, nullify 2, empty; evacuate. – n. , a vacuum; empty place. So we see void as an emptiness.

God did not create us to be empty, invalid or ineffectual. He created us to be filled with His Spirit, to walk and talk with Him just as Adam did before sin entered his heart. When we allow worry, sin, self or the cares of this world to enter our hearts then we are allowing something invalid into a heart that God created.

Even when we feel empty or unwanted God calls out to us. He tells us in Isaiah chapter 54 how intimate He longs to be with us, in verse 5 He is our Maker, our Husband, the Lord of Hosts, our Redeemer and God of the whole earth. In verses 7,8 and 10, He speaks of His mercies and kindness towards us. No longer do we need to be fearful or ashamed for His love and kindness will fill our hearts.

Read again the writing The Broken Heart and allow the Blood of Jesus to pour over you and fill the void of your heart with a love that is everlasting. When others disappoint, fail, and even leave us, God's love never fails, never leaves and never forsakes us.

Please feel free to write us with your prayer requests. We may not be able to answer everyone, but we will pray over each request; agreeing with you for God's mercy and His will to move in your life.

    Void

I like that part in the definition on #1, not legally binding, invalid, null. Sometimes our hearts are full of stuff that is invalid and null. Something to think about.
