Don’t be perplexed (confused of afraid) by the prophetic. It is God speaking, as in times past, to us in the present for the fulfillment of the future. If you are in Christ and He in you, then you are living in the prophetic. Christ cleansed our past, fills our present and fulfills our future. He is the Living Word.[@more@]
There is no time in God. II Peter 3:8 tells us that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day. As God spoke into existence His creation upon the earth, Jesus’ blood was being shed and we, His children, were being gathered together as one. On the seventh day of creation, God rested from all His work. “It is finished.” Jesus cried upon the cross. And we were seated in Heavenly places with Him! The work has been finished. What God saw, He spoke; and what He spoke, became. What a privilege to read our past, present, and our future in His Word. It’s all in there.
In Ephesians 1 through 2:7, Paul says it so well. It is the “filling up of time” or the “fulfilling” – the satisfying of God’s plan. It’s the maturing of what was birthed from the beginning. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” John 1:1-2 (NIV)
The confirming of the Son of God by the Father made the written word more sure. The first chapter of Peter, verse 19, says, “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” (NIV) Our future is bright. It has already been set. Revelation 12:11 says, “and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” Jesus is this word. He is the word of our testimony. Revelation 19:10 is awesome! “At this I fell at his feet (the angel’s) to worship him. But he said to me, Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophesy.” (NIV) The command is simple; Worship God!
You can become so overwhelmed with seeing the happenings of the times in which we live, that you will begin to focus on the wrong things. When you worship God, the focus is once again centered on Him. You can worship knowing that you are a part of all that He is doing, and that you are being held safely in His hands. As you, by faith, allow Christ to be formed in you; as you speak forth the Word of God in your life, you are walking in the prophetic. Worship God!
